En aquest sentit, el projecte HYIELD, liderat per WtEnergy Advanced Solutions, representa un pas ferm cap a la transformaci\u00f3 de residus en hidrogen verd. En aquest article, explorarem com WtEnergy converteix els residus en una font d\u2019energia neta, eficient i econ\u00f2micament viable, comparant els costos amb el proc\u00e9s d\u2019electr\u00f2lisi.<\/p>\n<p>La tecnologia de WtEnergy utilitza una innovadora planta de demostraci\u00f3 de gasificaci\u00f3 amb vapor en m\u00faltiples etapes i purificaci\u00f3 de gas de s\u00edntesi per a la conversi\u00f3 de residus en hidrogen. Aquesta soluci\u00f3 respon als desafiaments combinats de la conversi\u00f3 de residus en hidrogen, optimitzant l\u2019efici\u00e8ncia i el rendiment del H2, assegurant al mateix temps la fiabilitat i una competitivitat financera.<\/p>\n<p>Un dels grans avantatges d\u2019aquesta tecnologia \u00e9s la seva capacitat per superar les barreres actuals de desenvolupament de les solucions de residus a hidrogen. A m\u00e9s, aquesta soluci\u00f3 est\u00e0 dissenyada per ser escalable, des de petites a mitjanes aplicacions fins a grans plantes, oferint una gesti\u00f3 de residus distribu\u00efda i solucions de producci\u00f3 d\u2019hidrogen per a regions amb solucions de residus limitades.<\/p>\n<h3>Objectius Clau del Projecte HYIELD<\/h3>\n<p>El proc\u00e9s desenvolupat en el projecte HYIELD est\u00e0 orientat a assolir 6 objectius clau:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Major efici\u00e8ncia en la conversi\u00f3 d\u2019energia<\/strong>: M\u00e9s del 64% de l\u2019energia total d\u2019entrada ser\u00e0 convertida en l\u2019energia del H2, assegurant un major rendiment del H2 de m\u00e9s de 0,16 kg de H2 per kg de biomassa seca. Aix\u00f2 s\u2019aconsegueix maximitzant la relaci\u00f3 H2\/C mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019optimitzaci\u00f3 dels par\u00e0metres de vapor, oxigen, temperatura, juntament amb la recirculaci\u00f3 \u00f2ptima de calor dins d\u2019un enfocament de m\u00faltiples etapes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Puresa del H2:<\/strong> La planta produir\u00e0 H2 amb una puresa superior al 99,97%, adequada per a totes les aplicacions excepte a les piles de combustible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flexibilitat en el material:<\/strong> Es podran utilitzar una gran varietat de mat\u00e8ries primeres, incloent-hi materials d\u2019escombraries i residus agr\u00edcoles amb cendres complexes, amb un potencial calor\u00edfic que varia entre 2 i 5 kWh\/kg.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cost redu\u00eft:<\/strong> L\u2019objectiu del projecte \u00e9s assolir un cost anivellat de 2,19 \u20ac\/kg, aproximadament la meitat del que es pot aconseguir amb la millor tecnologia d\u2019electr\u00f2lisi disponible actualment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Disseny escalable:<\/strong> La planta es dissenyar\u00e0 per ser altament escalable, des de 10.000 tones anuals d\u2019ara endavant, oferint solucions de gesti\u00f3 de residus i generaci\u00f3 d\u2019energia neta per a zones remotes i rurals. La capacitat de la planta pilot ser\u00e0 de 3MW (LHV de la biomassa seca que entra a la planta), equivalent a 568 kg\/h de biomassa seca i una producci\u00f3 d\u2019hidrogen de 95 kg\/H2. Suposant un funcionament de 4.000 hores per any (el mateix per\u00edode operatiu objectiu per al demostrador), la planta processaria 2.272 tones de biomassa seca i produiria 650 kg\/H2.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aprofitament de la calor residual:<\/strong> La planta ser\u00e0 capa\u00e7 d\u2019aprofitar la calor residual de baixa i mitja temperatura (150-600\u00b0C) per augmentar l\u2019efici\u00e8ncia de conversi\u00f3 d\u2019energia i el rendiment de l\u2019hidrogen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align);\">Aquesta tecnologia, desenvolupada en el marc del projecte HYIELD, representa una oportunitat \u00fanica per convertir els residus en una font d\u2019energia neta, sostenible i econ\u00f2micament viable. WtEnergy est\u00e0 liderant el cam\u00ed cap a un futur energ\u00e8tic m\u00e9s net i eficient, proporcionant solucions innovadores que contribueixen a la transici\u00f3 cap a un sistema energ\u00e8tic m\u00e9s sostenible.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Efici\u00e8ncia i Sostenibilitat en la Producci\u00f3 d\u2019Hidrogen Verd i Captura de CO2: Tecnologia HYIELD vs. Electr\u00f2lisi<\/h3>\n<p>A m\u00e9s dels avantatges esmentats en l\u2019article, la tecnologia de HYIELD, liderada per WtEnergy ofereix una comparativa interessant amb el proc\u00e9s d\u2019electr\u00f2lisi en termes d\u2019efici\u00e8ncia energ\u00e8tica i captura de CO\u2082.<\/p>\n<p>El proc\u00e9s de HYIELD presenta un consum d\u2019energia total m\u00e9s baix que l\u2019electr\u00f2lisi, aix\u00ed com una major captura de CO\u2082 per tona de biomassa processada.<\/p>\n<p>En primer lloc, pel que fa al consum d\u2019energia, l\u2019electr\u00f2lisi requereix aproximadament 60 kWh d\u2019energia el\u00e8ctrica per kg d\u2019hidrogen produ\u00eft, mentre que el proc\u00e9s HYIELD utilitza un total de 50 kWh per kg d\u2019hidrogen, incloent-hi tant l\u2019energia el\u00e8ctrica com la t\u00e8rmica. D\u2019aquesta manera, es pot veure una efici\u00e8ncia energ\u00e8tica superior en el proc\u00e9s HYIELD.<\/p>\n<p>Pel que fa a la captura de CO\u2082, la tecnologia HYIELD ofereix una notable efic\u00e0cia en la captura de CO\u2082. Amb una producci\u00f3 d\u2019hidrogen d\u2019alta puritat, el proc\u00e9s HYIELD garanteix un corrent ric en CO\u2082 capturat, equivalent a 1810 kg de CO\u2082 per tona de biomassa seca processada. Aix\u00f2 representa una mitigaci\u00f3 significativa de les emissions de CO\u2082, amb una estimaci\u00f3 de prop de 4200 tones de CO\u2082 evitades a l\u2019atmosfera anualment, basat en un temps d\u2019operaci\u00f3 de 4000 h anuals.<\/p>\n<p>Aix\u00ed doncs, aquests resultats destaquen la promesa i el potencial del proc\u00e9s HYIELD en comparaci\u00f3 amb l\u2019electr\u00f2lisi en termes d\u2019efici\u00e8ncia energ\u00e8tica i reducci\u00f3 d\u2019emissions de CO\u2082. Amb una menor empremta de carboni i un consum d\u2019energia m\u00e9s eficient, la tecnologia HYIELD emergeix com una opci\u00f3 atractiva per a la producci\u00f3 d\u2019hidrogen verd a partir de biomassa, contribuint a la transici\u00f3 cap a un futur energ\u00e8tic m\u00e9s sostenible i net.<\/p>\n<h3>Estalvis Considerables<\/h3>\n<p>La producci\u00f3 d\u2019hidrogen a partir de biomassa ofereix una alternativa econ\u00f2mica i sostenible a l\u2019electr\u00f2lisi. Comparat amb el cost actual de l\u2019hidrogen produ\u00eft per electr\u00f2lisi, que \u00e9s d\u2019aproximadament 4,38 \u20ac per quilogram, el projecte HYIELD proposa un cost anivellat de l\u2019hidrogen (LCOH) de nom\u00e9s 2,19 \u20ac per quilogram. Aix\u00f2 representa un estalvi notable de 2,19 \u20ac per quilogram d\u2019hidrogen produ\u00eft a partir de biomassa. Aquesta difer\u00e8ncia en els costos reflecteix l\u2019efici\u00e8ncia i la viabilitat econ\u00f2mica de la conversi\u00f3 de residus en hidrogen verd, convertint aquesta tecnologia en una opci\u00f3 atractiva per a la producci\u00f3 d\u2019energia neta i sostenible.<\/p>\n<h3>El Futur \u00e9s Verd<\/h3>\n<p>El futur del mercat de l\u2019hidrogen \u00e9s brillant, amb projeccions que indiquen un creixement i una transformaci\u00f3 significatius. Segons un informe de BloombergNEF, la demanda mundial d\u2019hidrogen podria augmentar m\u00e9s de cinc vegades per a l\u2019any 2050, arribant a aproximadament 8,3 exajuliols (EJ) anuals. I segons un informe de McKinsey, el mercat mundial de l\u2019hidrogen podria arribar a un valor de 2,5 bilions de d\u00f2lars anuals per a l\u2019any 2050, representant aproximadament el 18% de la demanda final total d\u2019energia.<\/p>\n<p>Aquest creixement est\u00e0 impulsat per diversos factors, incloent-hi l\u2019augment de l\u2019adopci\u00f3 de vehicles de pila de combustible d\u2019hidrogen, l\u2019expansi\u00f3 dels processos industrials basats en l\u2019hidrogen i el desenvolupament d\u2019infraestructures d\u2019hidrogen per al magatzematge d\u2019energia, l\u2019equilibri de la xarxa el\u00e8ctrica, i un reconeixement creixent del paper de l\u2019hidrogen en la descarbonitzaci\u00f3 dels sectors dif\u00edcils d\u2019abastir.
