WtEnergy Advanced Solutions

Waste to Energy Advanced Solutions was born in 2017 thanks to 20 years of experience of its founder Andrés Ponce on gasification, biofuels and clean energy generation (thermal and electric). In 2019, Antonio Crous joins the project as Co-founder, to scale the business commercially and develop the implementation of technology within strategic industries and sectors.

WtEnergy has developed a unique cleantech technology, with a wide know-how and large number of projects behind it, impossible to find in the gasification and waste to energy market.

Both founders have extensive experience in both the technical and business aspects, accompanied by a large team of engineers and experts in gasification plants.

He was in charge of developing the Gasification technology and its implementation in 4 Biomass and Waste Gasification Projects. In 2021, he develops the technology to implement the first meat meal gasifier in the world. In 2017, he founded the company WtEnergy, where he transfers the technology and his know-how.

Andrés Ponce

Andrés Ponce, was born in Caracas Venezuela. In 2000 he obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Simón Boilvar University.

He began his career as an engineer at the INELECTRA company, where he worked as a Petrochemical Project Engineer in collaboration with the North American company Fluor.

In 2002 he moved to Barcelona, ​​Spain, where he completed a Master’s in Thermoenergy at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Since 2003, he has decided to leave the petrochemical sector and focus on promoting the development of clean technologies for application in the energy sector, joining the Tecnoholding Group companies as Technical Director.

He was in charge of developing the Gasification technology and its implementation in 4 Biomass and Waste Gasification Projects. In 2021, he develops the technology to implement the first meat meal gasifier in the world. In 2017, he founded the company WtEnergy, where he transfers the technology and his know-how.

Antonio Crous Millet has a degree in Chemistry and an MBA from Esade Business School. He has a solid track record in the field of General Management, accumulating more than 30 years of leadership and business management, in companies in the chemical, cement, paint, industrial or cosmetic sectors.

He began his career in 1975 as sales manager for KAO Corporation, later occupying the Industrial Management of Camp Industries, which is today Reckitt&Benckiser. He continued his career as Director of the Division of Merquinsa, a resins company for footwear, textiles or paints, to finally occupy the General Management of Hammerite Productos Especiales, a company he founded in Spain, which later acquired the Xylazel group (one of the main players in the market for paintings), for later fusion.

From 1995 to 2000 he was CEO of Albright & Wilson Ibérica and in November 2000 he was appointed General Manager of Uniland Cementera, as well as other relevant positions within the sector (President Ciment Català). In 2007, after the purchase of Uniland by Cementos Portland Valderrivas, he ended up becoming the General Business Directorate of the acquiring company and leading CPV until 2012, when he assumed the management of Artenius (one of the two divisions of La Seda de Barcelona ) until 2015 where he put an end to his stage as manager.

After participating as a member of the Board of Directors of LaFarga or Talleres Verdes, he is currently a member of the Board of Encofrats Alsina, Academic Director of Esade Executive Education, Vice President of the Nen Deu Foundation and Trustee of the DTI Foundation.
